Pastor David Miller, Senior Pastor

Pastor Miller has been senior pastor of First Baptist since December 1977, after coming as an Assistant Pastor in 1976. He also grew up in this church. He holds a B.S. and Master of Ministry from Bob Jones University. Previous ministries included serving as a Christian school teacher and administrator in two Christian schools. He and his wife, Liz, live in Mishawaka and have two grown daughters, Christie and Carrie.

 

 

 

Pastor Peter Jones, Youth Pastor

Pastor Pete joined the staff of First Baptist in August, 2005. He serves as our Youth Pastor, working with the Teens’ and Children’s ministries. He has a B.A. from Northland Baptist Bible College and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree there. In his previous ministry, he served as a youth pastor for six years in Minnesota. He and his wife, Bethany, live in South Bend and have two children, Micah and Sara.

 

 

 

Pastor Nate Mason, Music Pastor

Pastor Nate is the newest staff member at First Baptist, joining the team in May, 2011. He serves as the Music Pastor and is also involved with the Young Married Couples’ fellowship. He graduated from Bob Jones University with a B.A. in Bible and is currently pursuing a M.A. in Theology from Central Baptist Theological Seminary in Plymouth, Minnesota. He and his wife, Callie, live in Mishawaka.

 

 

 

Doug Culp, School Principal

Doug Culp began his ministry at First Baptist Christian School in July 2001, having taught here two years previously. First Baptist is his home church. Earlier experience includes working with youth in juvenile detention. He holds a B.A. degree from Grand Rapids Baptist College and a M.S. in Education from Indiana University. He and his wife, Patty, live in South Bend and have two grown children, Nick and Karen.

 

 

 

Andy Sommers, Business Manager

Andy Sommers joined the staff of First Baptist in August, 2007. He serves as Business Manager. He has served in both youth ministry and private business before coming to First Baptist. He has a B.S. in Business Administration and Accounting from Grace College and a M.A. in Intercultural Ministries from Grace Seminary in Winona Lake, IN. He and his wife, Mickey, live in Granger and have two children, Nathan and Abigail.
